Lia is a guiding light to home cooks everywhere, who speaks not just to the “how-to,” but to the deeper “why.” After 20 years as a professional recipe developer for major magazines and a busy working Mom and entrepreneur, Lia has made a career of teaching people how to make real food possible in real life.

But Lia is about more than just “how to.” As the author of NOURISHED: A Memoir of Food, Faith and Enduring Love (with recipes), she speaks to how real food is a connection point that helps us relate to one another, understand ourselves, and show up more fully in the world.

Lia is not a celebrity chef flaunting glitz and glamour, nor is she a white-coated nutrition expert promising the next new silver bullet. She is a thoughtful, real voice amidst the mayhem of shiny objects, who people are drawn to for her candor and approachability. People who encounter Lia — in the media, in her online community and courses, or in-person — feel lifted up and encouraged, walking away feeling “I can do that too.”
